Where we became hosts.
This is the first home we made in Wimberley, back when the kids were small. It began with a surprise birthday we threw for a dear friend — we cooked together, made up a silly scavenger hunt in the field, played board games, and watched the sun set with a glass of wine on the porch.
No rules, no agenda, and somehow everything flowed. Everyone left more connected, more restored — able to just be. That weekend taught us what we keep relearning: intention, open space, and the people you love are a recipe for simple magic. We couldn't keep it to ourselves — so we opened the doors.
